Camp Shoshanah Photos 2013

This page contains photos of the Camp Shoshanah Messianic Bible Study Camp taken during 2013. The program has been discipling believers in Messiah Yeshua/Jesus for over 30 years. While the main purpose of Camp is the study of the Scriptures from a Jewish frame of reference, we always manage to have a lot of Kosher fun, and these photos often show the fun, with occasional whimsical descriptions!

Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum teaches Bible. He has taught 2 generations of Messianic leaders, Pastors and Bible students.

Our Praise Band leads us in singing. They're not just good, they're a Band Beyond Description !

There were so many at Camp from Canada they formed another Province and elected Simon S. as Governor and Anna K. as Director of Fun.

This family helps distribute Bible study material about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith in Germany.

When someone suggested we photograph the students from Australia and New Zealand together, Aussie Chris was tempted to point out that while only 2 hours across the Tasman separates the sister nations, Australia is 20 years ahead in development. But practicing sanctification, he bit his lip and said nothing. The Kiwis are smiling because they are thinking about sneaking into Chris' cabin and filling his socks with Vegemite.

The people in this photo were either born in Russia or are the children of those born there. If you notice overlap with those in the Canada photo above, you've got good eyesight!

The Bible teaching is sooo good at Camp Shoshanah, these folks traveled all the way from India to be here.

The Scripture tells believers to publicly proclaim their faith in Messiah Yeshua, and Biblical Baptism is part of that, the immersion of those who have come to faith as a public testimony.

After Baptism, it's an Jewish ancient tradition to do Israeli dancing on the beach, at least at Camp Shoshanah ! Come on clap your hands!!

Messianic Bible teacher Mottel Baleston led a class on the "Plan of the Ages" as it unfolds through scripture

A new generation of Messianic Jewish Bible Teachers is represented by Michael Gabizon. He taught two courses:
"Theological Issues in Messianic Judaism Today" and "Living the Spiritual Life"

The 3 week camp had four Messianic Teachers: Mottel Baleston, Michael Gabizon, Arnold Fruchtenbaum & Bob Morris.

Joyful Messianic Praise Music before each teaching session. Everybody's Dancing !

On Wednesday evening we had a Variety Show where Campers sang a solo or joined with others. The music never stopped! It ranged from Jazz Scat singing with two world class pianists, above, or Gospel, done by the girls at right.

We're blessed to have so many with musical talents. The sound was wonderful, it might have been the fiddle, or maybe the B flat minor barred on the 6th fret !!

On August 2, 2013 the new Starks Dining Hall was dedicated with a Friday evening Shabbat Service, with Israeli dancing, a dedication service & prayer.

Still some landscaping to be done & finishing of the basement level, but we're on our way!

Yes, that's carpeting on the floor and padded chairs ! Should we still call it "Camp" ??!
